Olathe Art Gallery, Olathe, KS - An Artists' Cooperative

The Olathe Art Gallery is an artist managed Co-Op Gallery. It was formed in 2007 by a group of like minded artists led by Marvin Page it was called First Art Gallery of Olathe. This is a member driven cooperative gallery.  In 2025 the group moved to a new location in downtown Olathe and changed the name to The Olathe Art Gallery. The Olathe Art Gallery is incorporated and is an artist operated gallery. Our mission is to enrich the lives of others by exhibiting quality art from local and regional artists for public view and purchase.  The Gallery also promotes the advancement and appreciation of the visual arts within the community.

We're always looking to up our membership and add new members so we're on the hunt for veteran and emerging artists! We have room to add a few more artists. The gallery offers many perks to it's members. So check it out.

The cost to join is very reasonable we have memberships available $75. and you get 80% of everything you sell!
We have a website and social media outlets that are available to help advertise your work.

  JOIN OLATHE VISUAL ARTISTS application: If you are interested in becoming  part of the nonprofit organization Olathe Visual Artists we encourage you to apply now! Click on  this Application form and answer the questions to apply. $40. annually for your Olathe visual Artists membership pay here: Clicking the application form link will download the word document for the OVA application.Fill out the application in a word processing program. Once finished, save it as a PDF and email it to OVA: [email protected]. Emails are found on the documents contact us with any questions!

There is a guy going by the name of Danny Crabtree that is selling booth space on Eventbrite for our Holiday Art Market Event . He is scamming people our event has been sold out for weeks and he is charging people $80. for booth space that does not exist. Please do not be fooled into buying a booth from this guy. Eventbrite has been notified.

CALENDAR OF EVENTS 

 

 Elnora Nokes is our featured artist this month. Elnora is a collage artist from Olathe, Kansas.  She is retired from a career as an Art Teacher for ages pre-school through 12th grade, and she also taught workshops for Primary and Early Education teachers. Her work is inspired by landscapes and the forms, textures, colors, and shapes of the built environment.  The visual interactions of the various elements never fail to inspire further exploration through artistic exercises.   She uses personal and found photographs, handmade papers, magazine pages, found objects, and acrylic and watercolor paints to create abstract landscapes and still life collages.Her work has been shown and won awards in juried exhibitions across the country as well as several galleries in the Kansas City Area.   Her work has also been included in exhibitions and won awards from the National Collage Society, where she has been a signature member since 2015.  Her collages can be seen locally at the Olathe Art Gallery
Paul Martveli is our musician this month. Our theme this month is "Artville".  We will have classes and artwork this month in the gallery celebrating our theme.
It will be a great time had by all.
